Paddington – Multi-cultural And Gentrified Suburb
Home to marvellous heritage buildings and café culture Paddington has always been a place for people of all culture and backgrounds. Lined by an epic view of Mount Coot-Tha, Paddington is greatly appreciated by all nature lovers.
A large percentage of the resident of Paddington are young people especially students. And that is because of the close proximity of tertiary institutions such as University of Queensland and Queensland University of Technology.
As a result the location is filled with nightclubs including the most famous Paddington Tavern. And because Paddington is one of the first gentrified suburbs, it is scattered with cafes and has unique shops all around the suburb.
Paddington is devoid of larger chain shops but has small speciality shops such as Paddington Antique Centre and one of the largest shopping complex in the area called Paddington Central on Latrobe Terrace.
