Frequently asked questions
Do you buy unregistered scrap cars?
Yes. We regularly buy unregistered vehicles. You don’t need a current rego to sell your car for scrap.
Do you take cars with accident damage?
Yes. Collision-damaged, structurally written off, and insurance total-loss vehicles are all accepted. We assess based on what the car is worth in its current state.
What if my car doesn’t start?
Not a problem. We have the equipment to tow or recover non-running vehicles. Just let us know the situation when you get a quote so we can plan accordingly.
What if I’ve lost the keys?
We can still arrange a pickup in most cases. Mention the missing keys upfront when you call โ it may affect the recovery method and, in some cases, the offer.
Do you pick up from apartments or tight access properties?
We handle most access situations. If your car is in an underground car park, on a narrow street, or somewhere with limited access, let us know when booking and we’ll work out the best approach.
When do I get paid?
Payment is made in cash at the time of pickup, before the car is loaded onto the truck.
What affects a scrap car offer?
The main factors are condition, completeness, make and model, scrap metal weight, and location. See our scrap car price guide for a detailed breakdown.
Do you remove cars the same day?
Same-day removal is available in some cases depending on location and team availability. Call us to check โ we’ll give you an honest answer on timing.
Do I need a roadworthy certificate?
No. A roadworthy is not required when selling a scrap or end-of-life vehicle. We buy cars in any condition without one.
